Three things I am a total sucker for: Blue dresses, sparkly shoes and City Hall elopements. This inspiration shoot (featuring a real engaged couple) hits all three of those bases. Photographer / planner Lindsay Jane created this gorgeous vision based on the traditional rhyme:
Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a silver sixpence in her shoe.
A focus on minimalism:
From Lindsay Jane:
This inspiration shoot was all about minimalism, with the true focus on the love of the couple and cherishing their special memories. Every aspect highlights a stress-free experience without compromising beauty and romance. The dress was from a department store, flowers from cute “Little House of Flowers” on the corner, and saving money on a gorgeous Elopement Announcement to share with loved ones. These little details would save a couple from countless hours of planning, worry and stress while still pulling together a dream come true.
Inspiration pulled from old, new and blue:
Combining film and digital images in this shoot bring the old and new elements together harmoniously. Focusing on the gorgeous blue dress, the couple’s authentic love and chasing the natural light, this fairy tale shoot was a fun vision brought to life.
When the word “elopement” comes up, many think of a quick run to city hall or an expensive destination. This shoot was to inspire the classical, romantic bride that the traditional wedding elements can transfer to something as intimate as a “quick run to City Hall.”
The inspiration was pulled from the wedding saying, “Something borrowed, something blue, something old, something new, and a silver sixpence in her shoe.” The shoot was based on a perfect marriage of old and new, with the gorgeous architectural elements of the City Hall venue to the new look of the delicate blue wedding dress.
