One of the best things about looking at wedding photos all day is getting those goosebumps from photos that ooze love. Like, you can really tell the couple is enamored with one another. And that’s exactly how we feel about Theanna and Will’s photos from photographer Alicia of Meraki Portrait Boutique.
The couple, who wed on a family estate in Maine, celebrated in an intimate setting surrounded by loved ones. The subtle color palette — white, gray and green — didn’t overshadow the purpose of the gathering.
From the photographer:
Theanna and Will had a very whimsical themed wedding. Their colors were white, gray, and green. Theanna is from Greek ancestry, which is definitely the vibe I got from this wedding.
Everyone that attended this wedding were people that were super close to the couple. It was a small, intimate wedding. Theanna lost her mother, and Will lost his father years ago. So family is super important to them both. Their attendees and wedding party are people they call for emergencies, people they admire, people they would give their clothes off their backs. Will’s Uncle even played his sax during the ceremony!
Family/ Friends from near + far attended. The ceremony + reception were at Theanna’s father’s estate in Union, ME. They incorporated elements from their ancestors within the wedding. Will carried his great-great-grandfather’s pocket watch and Theanna wore her great-grandmother’s bracelet. Pictures of their close loved ones that couldn’t attend where scattered throughout their reception. They even had Greek inspired food!
Theanna + Will were super gracious throughout their day and constantly thanking people for helping and attending. You could tell many cared deeply for them both. They had people giving speeches of such kind words, left and right. I’m not sure there were many dry eyes in the place.
