We have such a crush on this perfectly minimalist riverside elopement captured by Kabrei Holt Photography. The couple are a dream in their lavender attire. With just the couple, the photographer and the officiant present, simply celebrating love really was the key to the magical day.
From the photographer:
The day of Krystal and Dylan’s elopement was nothing short of magical in every aspect. We arrived at the river just moments before their officiant, waiting and laughing together, admiring the beauty of the day.
Their officiant showed up, and the show quickly began. They exchanged vows after the reading of an intimate poem by one of my favorite poets, Khalil Gibran. The sun was bright and magnificent during their first kiss as husband and wife, and I felt overwhelmed with gratitude to be a tiny part in their elopement.
We explored along the riverside, Krystal a vision in her lavender dress, both of them honestly beaming in the newlywed glow.
The day was minimal in every aspect besides the amount of love present. They kept the details simple, no guests aside from myself and the officiant.
No matter the amount of guests you choose to have, I think their special day exemplified how perfect it is to put your love at the forefront.
From the bride, Krystal:
“The day itself, literally a dream. Everything fell into place so wonderfully and easily, no major planning involved other than when and where. I knew I wanted to wear flowers in my hair, and to be somewhere in nature. When I told my mom that we planned on getting eloped by the river, she was not surprised: “exactly how I would’ve imagined it” is what she said. And it was.
I didn’t expect to cry as much as I did, but as our vows were being read, I was overwhelmed with such a warmth, looking into the eyes of the man who promised me forever. I know I must’ve been squeezing his hands so hard, and with each squeeze, he squeezed back. We sealed it with a kiss, and the world stopped spinning, it was just us there.
And it will always be us.”
